Geographic Knowledge and Values Survey

The American Geographical Society (AGS) is surveying attitudes toward geography and geography knowledge as part of the National Science Foundation grant titled “Establishing a Road Map for Large-Scale Improvement of K-12 Education in the Geographical Sciences.”

The $2.2 million project is a collaboration involving the National Geographic Society, the Association of American Geographers, AGS, and NCGE.

U. S. citizens and long-term residents of the United States who are at least 18 years old are invited to take the survey. It will take an estimated 12 to 18 minutes to complete the questionnaire.

AGS wants to publicize the survey widely through personal communication, social media, and mass media, so please share the online link any chance you get.

The “Road Map” survey results will help inform geographic education reform and improvement efforts in the decades ahead.
