‘21st Century Geography’ Handbook

21st Geography HandbookAn ambitious, two-volume reference handbook edited by Joseph Stoltman examines the discipline of geography and looks toward its future. The book, 21st Century Geography: A Reference Handbook, was published by Sage in October 2011. Seventy essays are organized around six broad themes in the discipline: Physical and Environmental Geography, Human Geography, Nature and Society, Regions and Regional Perspectives, Geographic Information Science, and Applied and Professional Geography. Stoltman, a professor of geography at Western Michigan University, served as NCGE’s president in 2009.
